Bio: I am a professor, a poet, an author, and an immigrant. I am the survival of many political and economical hardship. As a political immigrant, it took me a long time to master the English language and to come to terms that I can never see my family again. "THE PARTING FROM MY FAMILY WAS THE BEGINNING OF A FRIENDSHIP THAN THE END OF OUR FRIDAYS!" My autobiography, "THE RAIN STOPS IN TEXAS" was published in 1997 by Eakin Press. It can be found in Amazon. As Ernest Hemingway says, write about something you know, most of my novels are about cultural difference of the old and new and American style of living compare to my home country. My poetry are in all forms. I write as they come to me. My first draft is always my last draft. "THIS IS MY WORLD, WELCOME!" "THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!"

Good morning Aina! My name on the book is my full name {Ellie Kamran Belfiglio}. If you Google my name, you will see my book and other works I have done. The name of the book is “THE RAIN STOPS IN TEXAS” and it has a subtitle which says: ” A WOMAN’S STRUGGLE FROM OPPRESSION TO FREEDOM”. I just checked both Amazon and Google and find them in both places. In Amazon they have it with very cheap price for the used ones. I hope this can be useful to you.

Hi Ellie, thank you for being across my blog. So glad to be across yours too 🙂 I am an immigrant as well. Have you ever seen your family again? I really struggle with being away from my loved ones, that in part is why I started writing. Good meeting you, Vonita.
November 23, 2014 at 1:08 pm
Dear Vonita, Thank you for your comment. I can’t go back to Iran. They will arrest me, because I smuggled and because of the books I wrote against the regime. We used to meet with my family in Istanbul, Turkey, and a few times my parents came here. But now my mother is very sick and she can’t travel. I haven’t seen my sisters and brothers at all in the last 35 years. I have many nieces and one nephew that I have not met. I, like you suffer a lot abut the separation. It never goes away…

February 13, 2017 at 9:48 pm
Hello Ellie! I’m having issues with email. But as I was looking at the writing page (making a new post) of wordpress I saw all the way on the bottom left, a button called Settings. If you scroll down within that section there is something there called “copy a post”. I think that may be what you are looking for – for reposting. Another option is to just start fresh in creating the post as if it was new and type in at the top “repost”. Those are the ideas I had. Sorry I did not write sooner, but I worked alot last week. Please erase this if you like after you are done with it. Blessings.
