Who wouldn’t through fragrant fields,

Sipping the nectar springtime yields?

Forever stroll, ever to know,

Enchantment where the daises grow…

But poignantly a theme will play,

And sound over life for harmony.

Designed ecstatic hours are,

As pointers to a destined star.

We may not just in spring side live.

For purpose bids us go and give.

First loves are far but flowers must-

Endenger fruit and turn to dust!! …

“EARTH’S GREEN WARMTH”

A soft summer forest covers;

A mountain range of life discovers;

A far, far horizon that smothers;

A man-made lives of divide!

The earth’s green warmth soon chills;

The colors of autumn leaves spills.

The yellow, yellow paints the hills;

The two nations won’t color-bind!

They are rainbows that flutter down.

They slowly change to dark brown.

They gently, gently settle to the ground;

They join the death of a pilot…

The bare trees disclose a reason;

The men acts just like the season.

Then a peace, peace starts-a-freezing;

Then countries begin to hate…

When culture’s borders can cause shame;

When leaders point the fingers of blame;

When loving life becomes a game;

Fall peace may fall, fall to war!! …

Our ancestors

drank at this well.

And filled jars like these;

But now the new water

you’ve given me overflows;

And washes over me in torrents.

Beyond my jar: a spring that

dances up from within the

hidden reservoir where

I am one with the

spirit of truth!

Reborn!

Anointed!

Set aflame,

through living water!!…

The clouds part their black sheets;

Enter Prussian- Cobalt blues,

With white flickering specks,

To the quickly waning darkness-

That engulfs the freezing moisture;

Weeping toil of yester-labor,

From our ancient  mother’s breast!! …

of riches

It is on my desk,

dry, almost petrified, the rose.

Something I did not want or expect…

He gave to me unexpectedly one day.

It pricked my

finger, blood drops trickled.

A mirror of future twice more

my blood fell.

Things I didn’t expect or want.

I told him, “No”.

Later I told him more.

I sat back and hoped he’d go.

Now we are alone.

Heal  never know how I cried, why?

I am always his rose;

and that’s all he’ll ever know.

Something I did not except or want;

but now could not live without!! …

Tangled vines on the ivy grow,

intricately vast,

twined around,

as if afraid to let go…

When one breaks loose from-

its tongued tangled home,

it spurts forth a leaf growing,

in its own existence,

at last free to roam…

Let us learn by watching nature unfold,

for as in all living things.

We too have our time to be-

knurled and knotted,

we must let go.

Only then can we find the –

freedom to grow,

to be who we are.

“THE RIVER”

I start as a drop, flow as a trickle;

Develop into a stream and gushes like a fall,

Dancing dow as a Brook, growing like a lake.

I keep flowing and flowing, becoming a River…

I sometimes flood, I sometimes dry;

Causing people who depend on me misery.

I sometimes quench the throats of the thirsty,

Irrigating lands which produce plenty…

I am called AMAZON in BRAZIL.

I am called the long NILE of EGYPT.

I become the Scared GANGES of India;

Worshipped and Revered by one and all.

I flow to join the ever big ocean,

Which is always my final resting place;

Which is always final destination,

Where I have no limits, no barriers, no boundaries and no end!! …
