When I hear this sound that awakens me, intimidating its way into my cloistered night, I write…

“You Are My Religion”

You are my religion!

There’s a deep breath I take when I wonder on your love, when-

I wander through your heart.

You are my religion!

There’s a shiver that ripples through me before I-

climax, when I, deep within you, realize the joy of loving you…

You are my religion!

There’s a glimmer in me that you doubt I’ll be-

here when you call, when you ask, when you want. A fear-

that you know me well, as well as yourself. It’s just a-

glimmer, though, for…

You are my religion!

I worship at a temple I’ve found where your lips invite me in!

Your eyes warm me and your arms encircle me with a comfort-

I’ve not known before…

You are my religion!

I worship with a fervor borne of flames that came from-

lust, moved through love, paused in obsession and now-

resides when two have merged…

You are my religion!

… And I offer my pilgrim soul, simply and with but-

one request: “Receive my love!” !! …

I am a professor, a poet, an author, and an immigrant. I am the survival of many political and economical hardship. As a political immigrant, it took me a long time to master the English language and to come to terms that I can never see my family again. "THE PARTING FROM MY FAMILY WAS THE BEGINNING OF A FRIENDSHIP THAN THE END OF OUR FRIDAYS!" My autobiography, "THE RAIN STOPS IN TEXAS" was published in 1997 by Eakin Press. It can be found in Amazon. As Ernest Hemingway says, write about something you know, most of my novels are about cultural difference of the old and new and American style of living compare to my home country. My poetry are in all forms. I write as they come to me. My first draft is always my last draft. "THIS IS MY WORLD, WELCOME!" "THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!"

Let everybody be nice!
