Down a small, well-trodden path
Lies a rolling streams!
A place to go and think
And plan my affairs!
… The water rolls and rolls, it is cold and clear.
Stones at bottom smooth and round.
At the water edge, moonlight glistens.
As time slowly passes, rolling water listens!
… Then the crickets come with all their sound.
Breeze carry them all over.
Stars twinkle high above a tree,
While tree sways this way or that way.
… The night air has an aroma, so sweet,
Of pine trees, so green!
Shadows of the forest trees dance,
A ballet no one ever seen…
… In awe I sit, breathe the beauty I took in.
Somehow clears my mind that brook.
I think of tomorrow, will it have delight?
Should I leave today’s affair in my heart?? …
