When I hear this sound that awakens me, intimidating its way into my cloistered night, I write…

One of the many streets in the FEMA mobile housing complex just south of the Joplin, Mo. airport has been addressed "E. Z Street." The FEMA mobile homes were assembled in one large site including three trailer areas following the May 22nd EF-5 tornado that left thousands of Joplinites homeless. DAVID EULITT/The Kansas City Star

… How do get to E-Z street?

Where is that beat?

I repeat!

How do I get to E-Z street?

Where life is sweet;

And everything is so neat.

How do I get to E-Z street?

… Do I cross the Rambling Roads?

Do I reach bitter Scrambling Roads?

The odds are, Gambling Roads?

Before I reach the Swelling Roads!

th… Then I walk down the lane;

I pass the sign of, “Mock and Pain!”

Near the drive marked, “Without Return”,

“Without pride!”

“On Other Side!”

… And if you live through this rage,

You’re on the road called, “Strange!”

“Happiness”, I guess lies in “Cage”-

Of a “Warm Caress”! There you merge.

… That beat-

Right under your feet;

But you must suffer to meet;

And reach E-Z Street!! …

I am a professor, a poet, an author, and an immigrant. I am the survival of many political and economical hardship. As a political immigrant, it took me a long time to master the English language and to come to terms that I can never see my family again. "THE PARTING FROM MY FAMILY WAS THE BEGINNING OF A FRIENDSHIP THAN THE END OF OUR FRIDAYS!" My autobiography, "THE RAIN STOPS IN TEXAS" was published in 1997 by Eakin Press. It can be found in Amazon. As Ernest Hemingway says, write about something you know, most of my novels are about cultural difference of the old and new and American style of living compare to my home country. My poetry are in all forms. I write as they come to me. My first draft is always my last draft. "THIS IS MY WORLD, WELCOME!" "THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!"

Let everybody be nice!
