When I hear this sound that awakens me, intimidating its way into my cloistered night, I write…

… So many delicious smells, rain, grass

Rain washed branches, took off their dirt.

Clouds are white in blue sky.

The weeping willow’s leaves hang low.

The tulip’s perfume, the wind’s howl;

Bluejay happily sings in my ear!

Slowly, slowly, spring is arriving!

Oh, lucky you, welcoming the green!

… Oh, lucky you, the field!

Oh, lucky you, the seeds of grass!

Oh, lucky you, the buds with bloom!

Oh, lucky you, the baby tulips!

Oh, lucky you, the tall glass of wine!

Oh, lucky you, sun’s kisses on my lips!

…Oh, my heart, what life cost?

You don’t wear colorful dress anymore!

You don’t drink red wine I pour;

Sweet or green food are not on your table!

Now your wine glass looks pale!

Your green food is lost!

… How sad that you don’t dance with breeze.

We don’t get drunk with sun!

We don’t make love with spring!

We don’t break the glass of sorrow!

The colorful bird is now a crow.

With a blow, come the enticing perfumes!! …

I am a professor, a poet, an author, and an immigrant. I am the survival of many political and economical hardship. As a political immigrant, it took me a long time to master the English language and to come to terms that I can never see my family again. "THE PARTING FROM MY FAMILY WAS THE BEGINNING OF A FRIENDSHIP THAN THE END OF OUR FRIDAYS!" My autobiography, "THE RAIN STOPS IN TEXAS" was published in 1997 by Eakin Press. It can be found in Amazon. As Ernest Hemingway says, write about something you know, most of my novels are about cultural difference of the old and new and American style of living compare to my home country. My poetry are in all forms. I write as they come to me. My first draft is always my last draft. "THIS IS MY WORLD, WELCOME!" "THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!"
