When I hear this sound that awakens me, intimidating its way into my cloistered night, I write…

Another lazy day unfolds and ends.

Velvet darkness of night comes and goes.

Across the sky, a girl is in pain;

Ponders the meaning of life in her brain!

She also puzzles over the meaning of death;

Walks destiny’s road with fading breath.

Story of her future on this road is told.

Her heart’s toil is in uproar.

The ache of afterlife and demise-

Is painful for her to actualize!

Tell me one thing, tell me where-

Is the hurt and ache of suffering!

Fantastic vision in crowd span.

In the young girls’s mind, there is a test!

On the mountaintop, a devil eye,

Spots its prey in cloud.

It pounces to catch her from fall!

Savoring the touch it had in dark cloud!

Everyone shares the mental brilliance of bliss,

Or naive desire to conquer the abyss!

The girl wonders if nature can defend;

If there is an unknown chasm in rain.

She wonders why she is not serene!

Where is the Creator, why Him, she has not seen!! …

I am a professor, a poet, an author, and an immigrant. I am the survival of many political and economical hardship. As a political immigrant, it took me a long time to master the English language and to come to terms that I can never see my family again. "THE PARTING FROM MY FAMILY WAS THE BEGINNING OF A FRIENDSHIP THAN THE END OF OUR FRIDAYS!" My autobiography, "THE RAIN STOPS IN TEXAS" was published in 1997 by Eakin Press. It can be found in Amazon. As Ernest Hemingway says, write about something you know, most of my novels are about cultural difference of the old and new and American style of living compare to my home country. My poetry are in all forms. I write as they come to me. My first draft is always my last draft. "THIS IS MY WORLD, WELCOME!" "THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!"
