Poetry is a tear that gives way to laugh, a laugh that brings hope, and a hope that breaks every chain. Nonetheless, poetry is the cry of your heart, the pain in your soul, the words that could not be spoken, past lives and all the things one likes to keep them in her heart.
Poetry is needed to soothe the soul as food and water needed to maintain the body.
Unfortunately in this new world, new culture, new technology, unfathomable music, (some needs to translate the lyrics of the new music), and unruly and uncouth youths with the sense of entitlement, no one anymore pays attention to poetry or to the rich and great literature of far past or near past or present.
As a teacher, I have noticed that many of college students can’t even name the famous poets or writers of America or Eastern rich literature of past or present!
Omar Khayyam, who not only was of the greatest poet of all time who lived in seventh century, but was also a mathematician whose formulas of algebra even are being taught today all over the world in universities!! …
Mohammad Jalaledin Molana (RUMI), William Shakespeare, Ernest Hemingway, Jane Austen, and many more will always live.
