When I hear this sound that awakens me, intimidating its way into my cloistered night, I write…

2014 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 24,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 9 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

After almost one month in hospital and rehab, I will finally be released before the New Year. I went through a very difficult and dangerous spinal cord surgery. The surgeon fused my lumber area with six screws and plates. I have been through  an excruciating pain for the entire time. However the pain are slowly subsiding. I will be released on December thirtieth. I can’t wait to to go home. For Christmas, all my family including my husband, children and grandchildren came to hospital and we celebrate the birth of Christ in hospital, exchanged gifts and had the customary Christmas dinner in the hospital. The staff of hospital prepared my room for our celebration. I am very thankful to them. Both my sons and their wives contributed in making Christmas dinner. The nurses and hospital workers came to my room and shared in our celebration. I am so grateful to my family for making Christmas a pleasant day for me even with the horrible pain that I had and not being able to move.

Hopefully I can start writing again after I come home. The cliche “THERE IS NOTHING LIKE HOME”, applies to me. I miss my pets, my home and sleeping on my own bed. I will have trophy and nurse visit at home for a while.

I hope that you, (all my friends of word press) had a wonderful Christmas.  I miss you all.

Happy New year…

See you soon!! …

Dear friends of Word Press, I wish all of you early Merry Christmas and happy New year. Why Early? I am having a spinal cord surgery Tuesday Dec. 9th. I’ll be in the hospital and rehab for at least 15 days. I don’t know if I’ll be able to use computer since my surgeon has told me that I will be in a lot of pain after operation.

I need your prayers For this difficult time in my life…

I pray the coming year will be peaceful all over the world, and our leaders in Washington stop the most leftist agenda and ignoring our CONSTITUTION. I pray that the Supreme Court of America take up the business of executive actions of our President and Obama’s Health care and put a stop on them.

I pray for all the law enforcement officers, who are facing danger everyday. Many of them are killed. My younger son is a Captain in police department, and I am scared for his safety every second of my life. I hope that the race hustlers like our President, Al Sharpton, Erick Holder and the mayor of New York City stop stirring division between black and white. Not every case is about race.

I pray for all our military personal to be safe wherever they are. I pray that we all show respect and love for all our soldiers who fight for our freedom.

And at last I pray that I come out of this operation healthy and well and nothing bad happens to me; and again I need your prayers for me.

For the first time, this year I don’t have a Christmas tree. My family can’t come to my home for Christmas. I can’t go to church on Christmas eve for the mass. SO SAD…

Good luck and health to all of you my dear friends. Enjoy your holiday season.

The reason I reblog this old poem is that in a couple of days I will have a very difficult surgery of spinal cord. I wish that my mom and dad, as old and fragile that they are, were here with me during this difficult time. I miss them like nothing in this world. Just them being here with me means a lot to me but that is not possible. When I come home from hospital, I’ll be all alone until my husband comes from work. It’s sad, sad, sad…

Warm, bright sunshine-
… Tomorrows are in line.
Whispering are towards me.
… Sun rays peeping free,
… Through the branches I see-
Many colors glow-
… From mountains’ show!
Drenched by dew, they ooze-
… On leaves of trees’ blues,
… When they all snooze.
On a canyon the hills ease,
… Level is now breeze.
I walk, surely I will.
… I run to reach the top, still.
It was never right, now is fair,
… So far at last, I dare…

The golden rays of fiery sun,

Keep me warm when I’m gone.

On the side of this hill,

From my eyes, tears spill.

One by one, they roll down my face!

Land on cold earth of this place.

And fresh, pink, frail, lame,

Were my flesh! A bird’s song flame.

It’s song for freedom from chain,

My mistake! For I am insane!

But am I insane? Worlds spin-

Round, the clouds tell of my sin!

If the moon is so full and high,

Why doesn’t fall from sky?

Strong words blow.

Branches sway with woe.

On an empty room, silence fill,

Pharaohs stay still,

On their forgotten tombs,

Rather than their mother’s wombs.

But I just sit here on this hill!

Am I insane? I wonder still! …

Coals glow in the trees,

Crimson, red, hot ember SPREES!

Golden yellow, fiery orange, radiant green-

Melt into brightly burning copper’s queen;

And smoldering brown at the scene…

… Into a frenzy, wind scatters the leaves.

Forming restless dance in air and leaves.

To do pirouettes in the haunted trees.

Autumn, elegant heiress arrives.

Overseer, to summers’ strives.

Slowly, letting down her hair,

So the jewels would be aware,

So her crown of all seasons wouldn’t flare…

To shine brightly in fall’s wine-

Colored reflection of divine…

As in a thousand sunlit white shine!

As a summer before her sign!! …
